- All made to order items run to a SIX week turnaround time (please see full terms)
- All Vivariums, Hoods and Stands are individually priced and charged for. Additional products on the same order are charged at £15.00 each.
- £5.95 on all other goods. (Mainland UK only).
- All accessories can take up to 7-10 days depending on stock availability.

In some cases, orders may take longer due to delivery grouping, weather, or material delays.

Failure to check delivery eligibility may result in additional charges or non-refundable fees.
To guarantee delivery before Christmas, orders must be placed by 1st November. This is a strict cut-off to allow sufficient time for manufacture and hand delivery.
We close for our Christmas shutdown from 20th December to 4th January.
Our standard six-week turnaround time does not include Christmas shutdowns or Bank Holidays.
DELIVERY METHOD & ZONES

All Vivariums, Stands, and Aquarium Hoods are hand delivered by Southdown Aquatics.

Deliveries are only available within our designated delivery zone from Findon, West Sussex (black zone on delivery map).
- We may be able to extend the delivery area on an individual basis. Collections are more than welcome.

Excluded areas (red zones) include:

Central London
-
Central Bristol
-
Central Birmingham
-
Any congestion charge, LEZ, ULEZ, Clean Air Zones, cycle-only roads, or restricted access areas

Some locations such as Bath, Bristol, and Portsmouth Clean Air Zones may be possible only if all charges are paid by the customer in advance.

⚠️ Orders placed outside our delivery zone are subject to non-refundable PayPal/card processing fees.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS

Ground floor delivery only

We cannot carry items upstairs, into flats, or to first floors unless agreed in writing in advance. This is not guaranteed.

Property must have clear vehicle access, nearby parking, and minimal carrying distance.

If access is restricted or involves a long walk, delivery may be refused due to weight and safety.
-
Failed deliveries will incur a second delivery charge.
-
Delivery dates are coordinated in advance, but flexibility is limited due to grouped delivery routes.
WINTER DELIVERY NOTICE
❄️ Winter Deliveries
Deliveries may be delayed or postponed due to weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice).
Even if your local area is unaffected, travel routes may be unsafe.
We will provide as much notice as possible, but weather conditions can be unpredictable.
PRODUCT DISPATCH & ASSEMBLY

All Vivariums, Stands, and Aquarium Hoods are made to order

Typical lead time is six weeks (may exceed during busy periods).

Larger vivariums are delivered flat packed.
-
Items are not packaged as we hand deliver directly.
-
Assembly is not included unless agreed in advance.
-
Some items (TV stands, pigeon-hole stands, large stands) are may be delivered fully assembled and may require customer assistance on delivery.

ACCESSORIES
-
Accessories are dispatched within 48 hours to 10 days, depending on stock.
-
Not all accessories are held in stock.
COLLECTIONS & THIRD-PARTY COURIERS

Customers may collect orders or arrange their own courier.

Once an item leaves our premises, responsibility transfers to the customer/courier.
-
Collected items are unpackaged.
-
Please ensure:

Vehicle is large enough
-
Adequate ratchet straps are used.
-

We can provide courier contacts for out of area deliveries, but any external courier is the customer’s responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITY & CLAIMS

Items are our responsibility until delivery is accepted, except:

Customer collections
-
Customer-booked couriers
-
-
Any damage or shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Courier damage claims by Royal Mail/Parcel Force must be logged within 3 days, making prompt reporting essential.
-
“leave safe” deliveries are at the customer’s risk.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
MADE-TO-ORDER POLICY

All vivariums, stands, and hoods are custom made to order.

As such, items are non-refundable, except where goods are faulty under consumer law.

Materials (boards, glass, etc.) are ordered specifically once your order is placed.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

Orders are non refundable, but if we refund on an individual basis then the following applies;

PayPal/card processing fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation/admin fees of up to 5% may apply.

Order changes (size, colour, delivery method) may extend turnaround time.
DELIVERY ZONE ERRORS

Orders placed outside our delivery zone are subject to non-refundable processing fees.

Please ensure you have read all delivery restrictions before ordering.
FAULTY GOODS & CONSUMER RIGHTS
We operate in line with the Consumer Rights Act.

Items collected or transported by customer-booked couriers.
GENERAL PRODUCT USE & LIABILITY

Vivariums must be used within their design limits.

Overheating, excessive weight, or misuse may cause damage.

We are not responsible for:

Injury to animals
-
Damage caused by incorrect setup or usage
-

Heavy substrates may require additional supports, which are the customer’s responsibility unless agreed in writing.
VIVARIUM PLACEMENT & SUPPORT

Vivariums must be placed on:

Flat
-
Even
-
Correctly sized surfaces
-

Uneven placement may affect glass tolerance.
-
Provided supports must be used where supplied.
CABLE HOLES
-
Cable holes are not standard.
-
Available free of charge upon request but not guaranteed, especially during busy periods.
MAINTENANCE & SEALING

All vivariums must be sealed by the customer using aquatic-grade silicone.
-
Minimum drying time: 24 hours before use.
-
Sealing must include:

All joints
-
Tracks (front and back)
-

Vivariums are humidity resistant, not waterproof.
-
Water damage is not covered.
AQUARIUM HOODS
-
Must be used with condensation covers.
-
Hoods are moisture resistant but not waterproof.
-
Water damage is not covered.
